Carolin & Viktor

Carolin & Viktor
Carolin and Viktor got married at the end of May. After weeks of rain there was one beautiful, sunny and warm day – their wedding. I had the pleasure to accompany them from the first morning hours until the night, trying to capture the key moments and those little things everybody tends to miss during such a big event. Of course we did some classical shots, too, but even it was so hard and exhausting, in the end I love those side shots even more. The crying bride, the sleeping child, the hands holding each other. I could show you gazillion pictures, but I leave it for now. See five collages behind the link above.
Thank you for your confidence to let me capture this unique day for you.

Janina

Janina Maybe you remember Janina – I met her about half a year ago and we only took a few pictures because it was so horribly cold. Back then we agreed to take some pictures when it would be warm. So that’s what we did at the beginning of July, and we had some beautiful evening sun. I don’t know how to thank her because she was so brave, ignored her hay fever and agreed to take some pictures in a meadow just being mowed.
I love taking outdoor pictures and I start realizing why. I need this kind of feeling when you’re just surrounded by nature, bird’s are singing, the sun is shining, you have a beautiful landscape – all those things you’re not able to really capture in a picture. I hope to translate these feelings into a general mood. One day I’ll buy some portable speakers and I’ll try taking pictures with music, but I’m not sure whether this is my way of working. Nevertheless I think especially new and inexperienced models might feel more comfortable if they have some music. So nature for me and music for my models.

Eleisa & Grazia

Eleisa & Grazia
Eleisa was one of my very first models (and indeed she was the first person I took pictures of and haven’t met before). With her I was able to try a lot of different things and we had so much fun. From today’s view I would consider the shootings with her as the beginning of my love for people photography. Last year she got pregnant and I took some pictures of her. Then her little girl was born and since she doesn’t live around we didn’t see each other for a long time. Finally, in June I met them both and – of course – we arranged a little shooting. For me it was the first shooting of this kind, let’s call it family portraits. But if you knew Eleisa, you would also know that with her nothing can be boring and so I was able to capture a couple of silent, funny, personal moments. Thank you for your trust!
